This goal of this kitchen remodel job, located in Perry, Ohio, was done to accomplish a change in the traffic flow as well as update the overall look of the kitchen. We created an opening where there was once a long breakfast bar to improve the traffic flow around the kitchen rather than through the kitchen.
Soffits were removed and new cherry cabinetry was installed up to the ceiling to help create a more open look. Granite countertops and a ceramic tile backsplash with deco tiles were installed to help update the new kitchen. A new ceramic tile floor was installed in the kitchen, hallway and laundry room as part of this job. New recessed lighting was installed for main room lighting, mini recessed halogen lights help illuminate the cabinet fronts. This is a necessity with darker colored cabinetry. Zenon under-cabinet lighting was installed to light up the countertop and backsplash area.
