This Mentor, Ohio kitchen project started from the desire for the customer to both update their kitchen as well as to show more contemporary flair to match their decorating tastes.
This custom kitchen features oak cabinetry and black granite countertops. The contrast in colors, as you can see, is quite striking. The island was reconfigured to accommodate bar stools on one side as well as a built in bookcase on the end of the island. The ceramic tile flooring was added to aid with the ease of upkeep in the kitchen as well as adds a dramatic look. A ceramic tile backsplash was added in a coordinating tile to the floor and countertops.
Extensive lighting upgrades were added to properly light up the kitchen and the countertop surfaces. Both recessed and pendant lights were added in the main ceiling. Zenon under-cabinet lighting was added to light up the beautiful countertop and tile backsplash surfaces.
