These Kirtland, Ohio Finished Basement customers wanted to create a comfortable, inviting living area out of an unused area of their basement. They desired to have an entertainment bar area, pool table area, TV area and a small dance area.

The stairway baluster creates an inviting entrance into the recreation room area. The large bar area features cherry cabinetry with plenty of storage. A mirrored wall was installed in the dance area to help with their daughter’s ballet practice. Plenty of room was left for the wide screen TV and sound system. Cherry woodwork was used throughout the finished room to create a warm relaxing area.  This room has come in very handy when their teenage daughter had her friends over to entertain.

The professionals at R. C. Carpentry worked with the homeowners to create their finished basement. Remodeling a home is often a viable way to get the best of both worlds - a new room or addition in an older structure - and help sell your home when you're ready to relocate. Rick Childs, president and owner of R.C.Carpentry in Mentor, Ohio specializes in residential remodeling and says that investing in kitchens and bathrooms is a sound investment.
"A good kitchen update with a modernized floor plan and top end appliances may cost anywhere from $30,000.00 to well over $100,00.00", he says, "but when that homeowner goes to sell that house, chances are good he'll get it all back. Some things tend to hold their value, and kitchens and bathrooms are among the smartest ways to increase the value of your home."
